Most treatment directories are written for adults, so you call three numbers before anyone tells you they don’t take under-18s. These 23 do, across Santa Clara and Stanislaus counties. 16 of them take county or block-grant money, which usually means it costs you nothing.

Before you call
You can ask what happens to what you tell them before you tell them anything. That’s a normal question and a good one. California lets people 12 and over consent to their own outpatient drug and alcohol counseling in a lot of situations, but the rules have edges, so ask the specific place rather than trusting a website. Ours included.
You do not have to say who you are on a first call. “I want to know if you see people my age and what it costs” is a complete conversation.
18 and over 30

SAMHSA’s FindTreatment.gov locator, fetched on 2026-09-10 and stored in this site rather than looked up while you read. That is on purpose: a live lookup would send your IP address and your search to a federal server, and this site is built so that can’t happen.
Which also means it can go stale. Everything here was accurate on that date. Phone numbers and what a place accepts do change, and SAMHSA’s own data comes from an annual survey the facilities fill in themselves.
“Takes public funding” means the facility reported accepting county money, federal block grants, state financing or a sliding scale. It is a strong signal that cost is negotiable. It is not a promise of free, and you should ask.
